Australia Zoo in Queensland

Explore the animal kingdom with saltwater crocs, giraffes, rhinos, cheetahs, wombats and koalas.

Queensland's Australia Zoo, made famous by the late, great Crocodile Hunter Steve Irwin, is one of Australia’s top tourist attractions. The zoo features an exciting species of animals, shows and exhibits that highlights a different aspect of the animal kingdom. Watch keepers feed and play with huge saltwater crocs at the Crocoseum, the African Savannah section where giraffes, rhinos, zebras and cheetahs roam free on the arid open plains, and feed the Kangaroos at the Kangaroo enclosure while getting up close with wombats, Koalas and the Tasmanian devils.

With Australia’s most dangerous reptiles and over 1,200 animals, the Australia Zoo offers each visitor an up-close animal experience unlike any other.
